King HR Consultants named a Finalist in 2026 Champion Awards

I’m incredibly honoured to share that King HR Consultants has been named a finalist in the Sole Operator category of the 2026 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards.

When I started this business 16 years ago, I didn’t set out to win awards. I set out to help business owners navigate employment law fairly, and build workplaces where people genuinely want to work.

But this recognition means a great deal.

Not because of the award itself, but because of what it represents. A values-led, sole operator HR consultancy built on Partnership Not Punishment™. Serving values-aligned small to medium businesses and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led organisations across Australia.

This isn’t about me. It’s about every customer who has trusted me with their people, their culture, and their compliance. Every business owner who said yes to doing things fairly, even when they might want easier short cuts to be available. Every First Nations Australia-led organisation that believed cultural humility matters.

This recognition is as much yours as it is mine.

Over the years, I’ve worked with businesses facing complex HR challenges. Organisations rebuilding after disputes. Leaders learning to manage fairly. First Nations Australia Led businesses navigating HR systems designed for Western frameworks.

The common thread: they all chose Partnership Not Punishment™. They chose fairness over fear. They chose to build workplaces where people matter.

That’s what this finalist recognition acknowledges. Not slick marketing or enterprise-level services, but real work with real businesses, built on genuine values.

The winners will be announced at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney on 26 September 2026. Whatever happens that evening, I’m grateful for the opportunity to be recognised alongside other people building meaningful businesses.

Thank you to everyone who has supported King HR Consultants. Your trust and your commitment to fair, values-aligned HR practices make this recognition possible.

Here’s to building better workplaces.
